Integrative Nutritionist, Beth Schroeder, MS, CNS, LN

My passion for health and wellness grew out of a battle with cancer that began in 1998 when I was diagnosed with an aggressive, invasive, life-threatening breast cancer. While undergoing equally aggressive medical treatment that included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, I pursued information on macrobiotic and plant-based foods that supported me in this fight against cancer that had invaded my life.

With the support of family and training from local whole-food chefs in macrobiotic cooking I began to apply nutritional changes, one food concept at a time. Whole, fresh plant-based foods were key to rebuilding my immune system and regaining both energy and hope for my life. Life beyond cancer became a conscious choice to thrive and not just survive.

Beth’s Approach

Passionate about plant-based foods as a healing support for her clients diagnosed with inflammatory illnesses like cancer, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, digestive disorders and allergies. Hope and healing are supported with dietary changes using whole fresh fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, whole grains and plant sourced proteins.

Beth practices a holistic approach to improving health and wellness, which means that she looks at how all areas of your life are connected. A diagnosis with a chronic or life threatening condition includes changing food patterns and often some lifestyle choices as well. Does stress in your relationships or at your job cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from creating space in your day to exercise? Are you drinking enough water to be well hydrated?

Through the process of an initial consultation, Beth will look at food choices and areas of daily life to assess their combined effect on your overall immune response and well being. Using this holistic approach you will be given step-by-step support to make lasting, health supportive changes.

As a nutrition wellness coach I work with you as a guide, educator and supportive mentor. With strong, steady support I will help you to effectively transform your concerns with chronic illness, immune function, weight management, food cravings, sleep or energy. Working with Beth, you will develop a deeper understanding of the choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes to improve your energy and wellbeing today with the goal of improving future health risks or concerns.
